1 portion of vanilla butter cream

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa, sieved
food colouring: yellow
2 brown chocolate lentils
2 white marshmallows
Black licorice, 20 cm long
2 white chocolate flakes
1 chocolate flake
1 red, sugared fruit gum
- Use a sharp knife, if necessary, to cut the top of the cake straight and place it on the cake plate. Fix the template on the cake with toothpicks. Cut out the lion's head with a small, sharp knife. Stir the cocoa powder into one third of the butter cream and colour the rest of the cream with the yellow food colouring.
- for the face, spread the yellow buttercream in an oval shape on the middle of the cake.
- For the mane, apply the brown cream to the rest of the cake and roughen it slightly with a spatula.
- With a drop of butter cream, stick a brown chocolate lens on each marshmallow and place it on the face as eyes. Form the lips and whiskers with the liquorice strips.
- Attach the white chocolate flakes as ears. For the inside of the ears, cut off a third of the brown chocolate flakes at the bottom. Cut the big piece in half and fix it with a drop of buttercream.
- place the remaining chocolate flakes on the cake as a nose. For the mouth, cut the red fruit gum into a tongue and place it under the nose.
