Cross stitch
Each cross stitch consists of two stitches, the basic stitch and the cover stitch. All basic stitches run diagonally from top right to bottom left, all cover stitches diagonally from top left to bottom right. Always work the basic stitch first and then the cover stitch. The stitches are vertical on the back. When embroidering several rows of cross stitches, the stitches of the new row are guided to the stitch points of the previous row.
Tension stitch
Depending on the pattern, the stitches can be arranged vertically, horizontally, diagonally, radially, individually, in rows or in groups. To create a flower, the stitches are arranged in a radial pattern. Embroider the stitches from outside to inside. Fir branches are embroidered from the outside with diagonal stitches towards the centre.
